Finding dream homes, One key at a time!

My family and I recently moved here from Savannah, GA which gave me an awesome opportunity to "reboot" my life and career path. I chose real estate as my career path because it allows me to utilize my great customer service skills I acquired during my 30 years in the hospitality industry. Real Estate is a great way to not only help people buy their dream home or sell their existing home, but also to serve the community I have grown to love. Customer service is more than a catchphrase to me -- it's my way of doing business. It's my personal goal to always exceed my clients' expectations.

I was born in Atlanta, GA but my roots have always been in FL which to me, makes a great recipe for a true southern girl that loves the beach. Living in the panhandle of FL (Panama City Beach) for over 26 years allows me to label it as “home”. I lived in Savannah, GA for about 8 or 9 years before making the move to central FL (Eustis)

I met my husband (Harry) in Savannah while working as a bartender at the local hangout. He is retired Army and has been in the aviation business since being out of the military. He now works on airplanes in a hangar in Leesburg. We dated for about 3 years before getting married in Las Vegas on Valentine’s Day (I know super cliché) in 2010. We do not have any children together, however; he has three adult children living in Savannah and seven grandbabies. I have two boys, Tyler is almost 20, he just recently made the move out of mom’s house and now has a couple of roommates. And then my youngest, Dylan will soon be 18, he is almost finished with school and is working a part time job, so even though he still lives at home, he’s self-sufficient and trying to learn about life. We have a huge love for fur-babies as well. Rocket, an 11-year-old miniature dachshund is my baby and little shadow (spoiled rotten) and Tubby, a 12-year-old well balanced mixture of mutt he’s my husband’s baby and he is a little bit mean.

My husband also used to build custom motorcycles in Savannah, (a man of many talents) where he owned his shop, Jailhouse Choppers, I already had a love for riding but after meeting him it grew even more. We don’t ride as much as we’d like anymore but we do every chance we get. We love to take the boat out as much as possible, salt or fresh water, we just love being on the water. I love to workout, mostly doing Zumba classes in the mornings to get good vibes and good energy going, not to mention my heart rate too.

Before I decided to “reboot” my career path and become a real estate agent, I had worked in the restaurant business for about 30 years, which is where my “people person” skills began. I started as a hostess and worked my way to management. I came out of my time as a corporate restaurant manager with a better understanding of empathy and connection than I had previously. Now, I understand better how to give constructive criticism without sounding bossy or controlling. Being in the hospitality business for so many years has taught me a lot about customer service, which is more than just a catch-phrase to me. I strive to make sure, no matter the line of business, that customer satisfaction is always number one. I am super excited about this new career path and can’t wait to start changing lives one key at a time.
